Last week our students went to the Lyceum Theatre near Covent Garden to see ‘The Lion King’ as part of our Social Programme – Sara, our coffee bar monitor, was one of them! And below she shares her experience with you!
The Lion King… breathtaking, this is the word I would use to describe this musical. Since I was a child The Lion King has been my favourite Disney movie and being able to watch it live in a beautiful theatre such as the Lyceum was an amazing experience.
Yes, we know that ‘National Tell A Story Day’ doesn’t happen here until October but we thought we would start early and celebrate with our friends across the pond in the USA who mark this special day on April 27th each year ! We asked our CAE class, led by our two amazing teachers Joe and Maryam, to keep a journal about what they are studying during their 8 week CAE course! Here’s part one – exam strategies and how to keep motivated!
Even though it is only the first week of CAE lessons, we could say that we left the class on Friday with a smile on our faces. Intensive and entertaining, even on the first day (Monday) we went directly to the exam. Throughout the week, we’ve been working on either strategies or general English skills that will help us to achieve the main goal of these two months. Continue reading
