Review of ‘The Lion King’ Musical at Lyceum Theatre, London!

Last week our students went to the Lyceum Theatre near Covent Garden to see ‘The Lion King’ as part of our Social Programme – Sara, our coffee bar monitor, was one of them! And below she shares her experience with you!

The Lion King… breathtaking, this is the word I would use to describe this musical. Since I was a child The Lion King has been my favourite Disney movie and being able to watch it live in a beautiful theatre such as the Lyceum was an amazing experience.

The scenic design of the set and the costumes were incredibly impressive, not to mention the top-notch acting and singing. However the true masterpiece was the child who played the role of young Simba, there are no words to describe his extraordinary talent.

I really recommend watching this musical, as even though I am not a musical person myself I really enjoyed it and it’s not one you want to miss. Ps be prepared to be misty-eyed and maybe shed a few tears (as I did) when Mufasa dies.
