Tti students visit Edinburgh, Scotland !

One of our students, Gizem,  took a trip to Edinburgh recently ! Here is what she thought about this beautiful medieval Scottish city!

I’ve always imagined since my childhood what kind of place Scotland was so I had to go to Scotland while I’m staying in London. In the end  three girls went to Scotland to Edinburgh. We chose the bus trip. We saw so many sheep without shepherds and all shades of green along the trip. We arrived to Edinburgh at noon.

Firstly, we visited Edinburgh Castle and saw unique views of the city, we were entranced. After that we left the Castle and we started to walk to the city centre. Men were playing bagpipes on the street and were wearing kilts. We walked around The Royal Mile with pleasant sounds. We were very impressed with the architecture of the buildings. Next to the Castle is a museum of The Scotch Whisky Experience . If you take a ticket you can discover the different dramas and enjoy a tasting there.

Edinburgh is an extremely touristy city. We took touristy tours and we visited Royal Yacht Britannia, Place of Holyroodhouse, Princes Street Gardens , Royal Botanic Garden, Calton Hill. On the other hand, we could see the birthplace of Harry Potter where the name of the cafe is The Elephant House. You can see a statue of Bobby near the cafe. If you are planning to stay in Edinburgh for few days, you can choose Hostel of Cowgate. We stayed in the hostel that was very clean and cheap! As a result , Edinburgh is an amazing city with history and nature. You should go there!!!
