IELTS Morning 20 (IELTS-20)

This Tti 20 lesson per week preparation course is an efficient programme that allows you to study for as many weeks as you need, depending on your level. This means that you can choose to start any Monday on a course for 2, 4, 6, or 8 weeks.

Recognition:

IELTS is designed to assess the language ability of students needing to study or work in English. More and more educational institutions, professional associations and government agencies around the world use IELTS as a measure of an international applicant's proficiency in English.

Grading and Results

The table below shows guidelines devised by the British Council which relates to an assessment of language ability only. The score is seen to be valid for two years. There are nine bands from Band 1 (non-user) to Band 9 (an expert user).

Exam Content

Candidates are tested in listening, writing, reading and speaking.

All candidates take the same listening and speaking modules.

There is a choice between Academic (Tti runs Academic preparation courses) and General Training in the reading and writing modules. The test takes 2 hrs and 45 mins. Listening and reading are marked in half bands while writing and speaking are marked in whole bands. The listening paper covers both social and educational/training situations.

The IELTS exam can be taken at various locations in London and the UK most weekends. But from May to September, students need to book well in advance (6 - 8 weeks) in order to get a date they want. We can help students with the registration. For more information, please visit the ielts website.
