Today I really want to dedicate space to a really nice, friendly and amazing person who is leaving the Tti Team: our incredibly lovely registrar Sonia.

I’m sure all of you know her, she is the one at the front desk always ready to help everybody with a smile, she is the one that guided you throughyour booking and all of your questions.

As some of you might not know at first, she was a student here. She came on August 2012, attending General English and later the FCE course.

During her stay she was a Coffee Bar Monitor and an Intern, then Gemma (the previous Principal) offered her the position of registrar and, here we are! 3 years later she is leaving us, she is going back to Spain… we wish you all the best, may your dreams come true, your adventure is not finished yet.

You will always be part of the Tti Team as an honorary member!!!

Here is a little something for you:

MEL: “Sonia is always full of beans! Her energy is quite incredible BUT what I will miss most are the amazing syncopated vocal sounds that she can create ! Tickytickyticky ta! She could have been a great scat singer I think ! It’s been a pleasure to be your teacher and then your colleague . Your efficiency and commitment to the job has really been inspiring Sonia! I wish you the best of luck in Spain and we will certainly see each other there soon!!! :) Hasta luego! “

A beautiful soul. Always there for you, never too busy to lend you her ear and a sweet as pie! Voy a echarte de menos Chica! Best of Luck in the future, make sure you stay in touch and visit! All my love.
Maz xoxo”

SIAN: “Sonita it’s been amazing to work with you! You are a bundle of energy, full of positivity and enthusiasm. Don’t lose it!”

HELENA: “I have always seen you smiling and making jokes out of any old situation! You’ve been a joy to work with! I hope to see you at TTI at some point again in the future! All the best with what you do!”

VIV: “I have only been here 5 minutes, unlike Sonia who has been here for ever in one way or another (Student, Coffee Bar Monitor, Intern, Registrar, Personal Advisor to new Principal (who didn’t have a clue).  Those 5 minutes however, would have been a lot harder and a lot less fun if Sonia hadn’t been here. She announced she was leaving soon after I started, and I didn’t take this at all personally – well, not much.  We’re all going to really miss her in the office (and in the pub), but I’m sure she’ll be back to see us (and bring some Spanish seafood!).  All the best Sonia!”

ANGIE: “One of the most unpleasant things of living in London is how often you have to say goodbye to people who have shared so many moments with you. It is not easy for me to see Sonia go. We have worked together for more than a year and from the very beginning she became my Spanish sister in the office and soon after, one of my closest friends in London. We have shared happiness, sadness and plenty of memorable experiences which I will never forget. I will terribly miss such a reliable colleague and faithful friend who was always there when I needed it. I only wish her the best of luck in the future as she deserves to achieve all her professional and personal goals. I wouldn’t like to finish this blog without highlighting *** 10 FACTS ABOUT SONIA *** by Angela:

#1# You will learn Galician whilst talking to her even though you don’t realise.

#2# She probably is the only northern Spaniard able to speak with a purely southern accent.

#3# If you wanna see someone more excited about food than me, talk to her about seafood.

#4# She made Lalín (her hometown in Spain) and Parrillada Luis famous in London. Must go there!

#5# She never whispers unless she is gossiping

#6# She has a natural talent to fit in a clutch bag what you could hardly fit in a suitcase.

#7# She believes she would have a heart attack if she drank a non decaff latte in the morning.

#8# If she asks you to take a picture of her, be aware you will end up taking millions of shots until she is completely satisfied. (She is the most photogenic person who will always be picky about EVERY PICTURE you take)

#9# She can follow a Whatsapp conversation whilst you are talking to her about something absolutely different and won’t miss ANYTHING.

#10# You will love her on the dance floor making funny comments about every man in the room.

SARA: “Well what to say about Sonia…through the time I’ve been here (as a student, coffee bar and intern) I had the chance of knowing you Sonia and it has been great. I really want to thank you for the time you dedicated me with all the training and for be a person I could rely on and a gossip friend!! I really hope you will have the time of your life in Spain and I hope our path will cross again in the future!”

HAVA: “When I started at Tti, Sonia was the first one to show me everything. And even though she had 200 emails to reply to, she took her time. She’s omniscient, hard-working and always full of energy! I love her constant excitement about everything and the moments in which she and Angela kept talking to me at the same time, assuming that I’m able to follow. She’s always been an amazing friend and I’m happy to share lots of great memories with her, be it our time at the British Summer Time Festival or our trip to Kent! I wish you all the best for this new chapter in your life and hope we’ll see each other in the future! Mil besos.”

LUCY: “What I will miss most is her cheeky and villainous laugh!”

EDWARD: “It’s been a pleasure working with you Sonia. You’ve been helpful and fun to work with. Although I haven’t been here long, I can see what the school will be missing when you leave. Take care and have a good trip back to Spain. Ciao”

PAOLA: “It s sad thinking you are leaving soon and its your last day in TTi!. It s been a pleasure working with you and spend a nice time together! I am sure you will keep wonderful memories and you won’t never forget us!! Keep in touch Sonilla, see you in Spain! Xx”
