Hello guys, it’s me, the fab (and humble) Intern, next week it’ll be my last week at Tti, but we will speak about this on the next weekly blog, so don’t be sad, yet!
Because I’ve been living in London for one year (exactly today) I would like to give you some tips and advice about the exciting Queen’s City!
1- never leave your Oyster at home, you can forget your clothes, your umbrella, your keys but not your oyster.
2- changing the guards at Buckingham Palace is overestimated, crowed and a bit boring.
3- have a glass of wine and a cheese platter at Gordon Wine Bar in Embankment, one of my favourite places!
4- have a very cheap and delicious bagel in Brick Lane (bagel bake), the very famous street in Shoreditch near the Spitalfield Market.
5- well… now the season it is over, but in spring The Globe Theatre will be open again, and you can’t miss out on the opportunity too see a Shakespeare Play like in the XIV century!
6- it’s better a UBER than a black Black Cab
7- Do not visit Camden Market on the weekend, it is crazy full of tourists.
8- Have a nice turkish dinner in Dalston at Mangal2, 4 Stoke Newington Road
9- never stand on the left side on the escalator, you can be killed!
10- If you have time leave London just for one day and discover the country side, you will be impressed, there is the real UK, peaceful and green
11- without even notice the time will fly, so don’t lose time at home, even if it is cold and rainy, London is a great city, it offers plenty of things to do, to see. don’t be lazy go out and explore the city!
As usual we want to say goodbye to all the students who are leaving….Summer is definitely over, we hope you enjoyed London and we hope you come back soon!
Apparently when summer is over everybody leaves, last week our former registrar Sonia went back to Spain and this week our lovely designer Hattie is leaving as well… It has been a pleasure working with such a great person, lively, always smiling and always so kind!
“It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Hattie ! She is creative , inspiring, fun and has a heart of gold! She helped create our video for our video competition and also our fab How to wear a Tti Scarf video! She also created our new 2016 price sheet!! Thank you Hattie for being such a great friend and colleague . Thank you for the songs and the dancing of course ! I will miss you terribly!” (Mel)
We hope you will have a great experience in Czech Republic studying for a PHD!
